Perfect Homes
Taking the system to its logical conclusion, a new house was developed
to achieve the maximum score on each of the indicators. After researching
materials, constructional methods, layouts and life-cycle costs a house
was achieved that would score a perfect 100% in the HQI assessment.
The relatively banal, but technically excellent homes that resulted provide
an interesting commentary on attempting to define perfection in architecture,
and governments' preoccupation with assessment.
