This fifth year project explores the consequences of government legislation on architecture. A piece of assessment legislation recently introduced by the Housing Corporation formed the basis of the project. The Housing Quality Indicators(HQI) system was the outcome of years of research by the government into how 'architecture', specifically housing, could be measured and tabulated in order to encourage 'good practice' and value for money.
