Institute of Integrated Medical
Sciences & Holistic Therapies - Gurgaon, New Delhi, India
This scheme involved planning for a new 800-bed/1,000,000
sqft hospital facility and associated support buildings on a 43
acre site south west of Delhi.
Initially, an extensive programming exercise was carried out with
the client before pre-concept proposals were drawn up for approval.
Subsequently, revisions were made and concept stage room-by-room
layouts for the hospital were completed.
This complex project was developed to meet restrictive local zoning
regulations and other site constraints. Comprehensive knowledge
of the local building code was required. Careful coordination of
the sizeable program proved essential along with intense collaboration
with client-side medical professionals, local and international
engineers and many other specialists.
The final scheme comprises a 5-level diagnostic & treatment podium
including 20 operating theatres above which are located twin 400-bed
ward towers and a 14-story ambulatory care tower. The project is
currently on site.
